The VANDERHOOF Community Foundation is pleased to announce our 2021 Grant Program Application period with a total of $5,000 available to support worthwhile projects in the VANDERHOOF area.

We will be accepting grant applications from 01 April 2021 until 30 April 2021. We anticipate that we will be announcing recipients of these grants by 21 May 2021.

GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT 2020

The Vanderhoof Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recipient of our 2020 Grant.

CLUCULZ LAKE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION – $3,000

This grant was used to upgrade the hall by adding eavestroughs to the hall for added safety to those entering and exiting the building and to prevent ice build up on the roof. In addition, the Association was able to purchase an upright freezer, a kitchen cart and a popcorn machine. These appliances will ensure food safety, a safer way to set up and put away dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils at hall events. The popcorn machine will provide another way to raise funds for the club.

Grant announcement 2019

The Vanderhoof Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of our very first Grants. We wish to thank all those who applied and hope that perhaps in the future we will be able to also provide your group with a grant.

In 2019 we were able to provide 5 groups with $500.00 each to help with their community projects.

NEchako community arts council

The grant was used to help with the Purchase of Portable stage lighting. This lighting unit will be used for the Home Routes Concert Series, the Footloose Dance group, during lessons and events, and also for the local art shows and sales featuring local artists and artisans

Spirits mission rescue society

The grant provided will assist Spirits Mission Rescue Society in partnership with Saik’uz First Nation, to educate and provide veterinary care with health and wellness of companion Animals, the enhancement of the human/pet bond and educating the members on pet-care, (focusing on youth).

Vanderhoof mens shed

The grant will be used to assist with the building of garden boxes and Riverside Place Greenhouse construction, enabling our seniors to once again enjoy the garden.

Vanderhoof farmers market society

The grant will be used to provided support for their Summer Arts Series which features local artists, artisans and musicians.
