As we are not yet a Registered Charity, we have contracted with the Prince George Community Foundation to provide us with some services including issuing charitable donation receipts.
A Community Foundation Endowment Fund is held in perpetuity. It provides a unique opportunity for individuals and businesses to support community driven initiatives that improve arts and culture, the environment, education, health and social services, and sports and recreation of all citizens for the long-term.
The Vanderhoof Community Foundation Endowment Fund supports initiatives within Regional District Bulkley-Nechako Area F.
The Fund is being managed by The Prince George Community Foundation. It is a public charity, thus tax receipts are issued for all charitable donations. The Fund is professionally managed to give us the best possible returns and the least risk.
An individual, a family, a business or an organization can establish a Named Fund and this allows the holder of the fund to direct the income from their fund to a charity of their choice. If it’s a charity that is establishing the Fund, they can have the income returned to their own organization to assist with their operating expenses. Another option is to direct the income to the Vanderhoof Community Foundation to add to our funds that are available to grant each year.
If you are interested in establishing a Named Fund, please contact us for more information on how this is done.
The following are the Named Funds we have in place:
