Thank you Nechako Valley Animal Health Services!

The Vanderhoof Community Foundation is thrilled to announce another donation from a Vanderhoof business.  Nechako Valley Animal Health Services just donated $750 to the Foundation to add to our Endowment Fund.

Dr. Cori Stephen explains that every Christmas Season, in lieu of sending Christmas Cards to their clients, they make a donation to a non-profit organization that the team chooses in honour of their patients and their owners.

They recognized that the Vanderhoof Community Foundation is in a growth phase of building their endowment fund that provides grants to projects that will benefit Vanderhoof and surrounding area, now and in the future and felt it was an opportunity to be part of something great.  After all, giving back to the community is a part of the Nechako Valley Animal Health Services’ mandate.  They provide a scholarship to a graduate annually who is pursuing medicine and science, they support youth and minor sports in our community, as well as 4H and our Animal Health Team volunteers with numerous non-profit groups involved in enriching the lives of pets and their people. What a great example of a community minded business!

The Vanderhoof Community Foundation will add this donation to our growing Endowment Fund, which is invested and the returns on those investments, provide us with grants to support local community groups to make Vanderhoof and Area a better community.  Our mission is:

Building Community:  Today, Tomorrow and Forever!
